Bre's first time in LA

This set of photos is one of my favorites from a few years ago when Breanna first came to LA. She was just getting to know her surroundings which made adventures really fun. I believe we shot this in Malibu and were just having a very relaxing fun day. I really love the outfit she picked for this one. Although I might of wanted to shoot this in a more dry location with maybe some boots and a cowboy hat I believed these still came out perfect. I just love everything curves and wraps around, but also adding texture at the same made this set one of my favorites. I believe photos are timeless if you make them that way. Even though these might be a few years old I still feel fresh about seeing them.

She was just perfect. The clouds kept coming in and out which would mess with my adjustments at times since I love shooting manual. Breanna is a professional and she’s so great at posing. She would set the pose and I would just set the angle. The only issue I had that day was that it was super bright outside which made the images have so much contrast. It definitely made it hard to look at the LCD white shooting. But during the shoot I exposed more for the shadows instead of the highlights. In most settings you do want to expose for the highlights. But not many know that you can also expose for the shadows, but might sacrifice your highlights a bit. I feel only photographers would be aware of something like this. But I do love doing this technique when conditions might not be suitable, specially if you don’t have a flash to fill in that shadow.
