Meeting Minitinah

Model @Minitinah

As a photographer who has been in this profession for almost 10 years, I consider this photo shoot a milestone in my career. I came across Cristina’s profile when I first started doing more sensual type of photography. I was reluctant to ask her to work with me because I felt I wasn’t ready yet. But then Cristina later reached out to me to give me a chance to work with her and I immediately had to say yes. This was the moment I have been working for, and the moment I would put my skills to the test. By the looks of it I guess I didn’t do so bad.

Like I said this set was taken a few years ago. I just remember how much I persuaded Cristina to be more open and relaxed with her poses. I felt the more she was herself the more the photos would speak. I really love this set and its undeniably such a great memory of the first time I got to work with her. We currently still shoot and have had such a great working relationship. Cant wait to shoot with her more. She’s such an amazing model to have under my roster.

Baby blue Gel on Speedlight

The difficulty of this shoot was based more on meeting Cristina. There wasn’t any technical challenges just more of how to work with your model. I mostly used natural light for everything that was done downstairs. I was always paying attention to my highlights on my LCD. On my edits I definitely played with tones and masking colors. The photos that have flash I used one light on a softbox, and one light with a baby blue gel in the background. I love using 2 lights to give more depth.
