Shooting with close friends

Yuli is the homie. A close friend, definitely someone I respect and love. Apart from our daily shenanigans we are just very close. I respect her for being such a hard worker, raising a beautiful daughter, finding time to go to the gym and just being an awesome role model.

When it comes to shooting Yuli you have to expect so much energy. She’s definitely someone that you have to be on top of because if you pause for too long she just get distracted. But that’s the price you pay when you shoot with a close friend. But at the same time Yuli can be a very serious individual when she wants to be, she can still turn it on when she needs to so don’t underestimate her.

The reason Yuli is so unique to shoot with is because she definitely treats her body like a temple. Her muscles are just toned, she’s killer to shoot, specially her back. I just love her for being her and being at the shoot with awesome vibes. Just check her Instagram, shes at the gym, 24/7.

We definitely had fun with this set and I’m very sure we will be shooting again. My aim with her is to always capture her smile and her ridiculously toned body, so hopefully we kill and slay again soon. Always love having an adventure with a closer friend.

Canon 6D - Sigma 35mm 1.4 / Canon 70-200mm 2.8

This whole set was done with natural light. I did grab an aluminum panel to bounce some light on the black and white images. But other than that I mainly just used window light. Everything was pretty balanced so it was definitely a great shoot to mainly just focus on the model and her poses.
